FW: And The Correct Number of Bottles of Wine is...
...exactly 792 bottles (or 66 cases), as correctly guessed (in order of their success) by (and to each of whom a bottle of classy Elizabeth Spencer Syrah will go upon arrival) (a) Group A veteran wine imbiber Demetry "Stealth" Kondrasheff [with very little assistance on my part]; (b) Group B rookie Mike "Pinot Noir" Stakias {with substantial help on my part, as in "deduct your shoe size to the last guess"--it is good to have ordered The Package in advance!}; and (c) Group A returning [after a long absence and for Father's Day with his two daughters, no less] veteran Steve "Clennon" Glennon.
Comments earlier posted to Der Blog from Group C's Cam "Mend" Carlson explain the lack of interest on their part, with aggregate guesses being in excess of 50 (count 'em) in number and including such random numbers as Group C now-retired banker Larry "Moon River"Klaustermeier's 415 wager [go figure that one out!] and Group Two veteran "Down River Dave" Studeman's rocket ship guess of 1277 bottles and in-between numbers that included, by no means by way of exclusion, 576, 653, 660, 690, 696, 720, 732, 768, 775, 780, 782, 789, 800, 816, 850, 898 and 1100.
I think the fish are relatively safe, folks!
Best to all in eager anticipation of it all,
Rock Creek Ron
