Extravaganza 2009 Winter Update!

Greetings, gang, from a frigid Extravaganza Headquarters!

For those of you out there in 2009 Extravaganzaland who wonder why we fish in the summer and not the winter, attached are photos taken within the past 24 hours that tell the tale.  The latter says the most for, when I arose this morning, the temperature on our otherwise summertime-pleasant back porch was MINUS ten degrees.  In fact, while driving back home from Helena from a weekend Montana Wildlife Federation (more on that later) board meeting, at the top of the Continental Divide at Mac Donald pass, my car frigidometer read MINUS 23 degrees--simply the coldest temperature that I have ever been in!

The attached water shots are of our adjacent Rock Creek (right about mile marker 5 [we are at mile marker 10...measured as the distance inward from Interstate 90]), showing more ice floes than water flow!

Deposit onward, gang!

Best to all from the (icy) scene of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
