6/4 am Updated Flow Chart

Extravagant Ones:

As I mentioned earlier this morning, the flow in June is, indeed, swooning, as best depicted on (y)our now-daily updated flow chart.  I just got off the phone with Rock Creek Mercantile's Doug Persico who says that boats are now starting to pull up in front of his Rock Creek establishment as part of their pilgrimage upstream to fish the Creek's legendary salmon fly hatch.

In preview of (more good) things to come, Doug P. has asked me to announce to each of our three Groups that he is getting the very first Simms shipment of their newest product, a all-purpose rubber sandal they are calling "The Pursuit".  At my behest, keeping with now long standing Extravaganza tradition, Doug is doing "The Package" for each of our groups that will feature this $100 sandal bundled with your choice of (a) a (collectors item) Merc t-shirt AND (b) a Merc baseball cap for the all-in price of $125 (note:  MT has no sales tax, so that, indeed, is the "all-in price"!).

I have already placed my order and you can as well by letting me know by email your shoe size (whole sizes only) so we can have your package reserved for you!

Are we getting close now, or what??

Best to all revving up for it all,

Rock Creek Ron

    2.  The June Swoon flow discharge continues, with Rock Creek flowing at 3,120 cfs @ 6:15 a.m. this Thursday morning (down from over 3,500 cfs this same time yesterday morning).

    3.  Our outfitter, John "The Great" Gould, just reported in , "It's going to be perfect conditions for E09 for sure (so long as it doesn't snow on us of course!)."

Bueno, bueno, bueno on all fronts (with the theme from "Jaws" playing in the background!!),

FW: Down We Go, Flo: 6/3/09 Updated Flow Chart

A first hand report from Da [MWF] Pres, Group B's Tim Aldrich:
" Carol and I drove by the Creek today going to and coming from Helena.  It is still packing lots of water, but as the graph shows, it is on the decline as we both predicted.  I have caught lots of fish in the Creek when it was this high and higher.  ---not on dry flies"

FW: Group B's McLeran Bros to Hog the Road to Paradise!

A nice note from now-retired Bank of Marin banker, Group C's Larry "Moon River" Klaustermeier:
Great guys.  Ralph has been a friend for 20 years and Brian a client of the bank.  Move them to group C!!

...for (y)our 500th visitor to Der Blog !!

As tradition holds, with a site visit counter located just below the blog usage instructions on the right-hand side of the front page of Der Blog, the Extravaganzer who is our 500th visitor will receive, upon arrival at Extravaganza Headquarters, a bottle of (truly coveted and rare) 2001 vintage Rock Creek Red (rated by the wine editor for USA Today as "one of the best cabernet sauvignons that he had tasted" [we gave him two extra bottles to take home to his NY larder after his laudations!]).  To win, (a) you need to be the 500th (yes, "exactly 500", Group A's John "Almost in 2008" Reimann!) visitor to Der Blog; (b) print off the first few pages of the blog showing the number 500; and (c) email the evidence to yours truly, whereupon you will be pronounced "Da Winner"!!

Indeed, the race is on...don't be left a-nappin'!

Best to all on the cusp of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
